Job Description:

Qualifications/Requirements:

• BE degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Design and analysis experience of Gas Turbine Compressor blades & vanes

• 3-8 years of engineering experience in blade &vanes in area of design/analysis/part qualification.

Required skill set:

• Basic knowledge of industrial gas Turbines and in specific to compressor blades & vanes.

• General understanding of energy equipment(compressors, turbine etc…)

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Design and analysis experience of Gas Turbine Compressor blades & vanes.

• Basic knowledge of industrial gas Turbines and in specific to compressor blades & vanes, General understanding of energy equipment (Compressors, Turbines Etc…)

• Review Qualification requirement, Material Process Plan and part dimensional/tolerance data received from different blade manufacturers.

• Co-ordination with Sourcing, Material and Supplier.

• FEM static and modal analysis of blades & vanes. Creation of Campbell and Goodman diagram .

• Blade/Vane repair evaluation and repair proposal for fleet support.

Desired skill set:

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings; knowledge of GD&T

• Experience in FEA analysis using ANSYS and modification of models in Unigraphics .

• Experience on working with Microsoft application like Excel, Word & Power point

• Previous experience with product life management systems like GTCC for drawing/specification search and Bills of Materials.
