Roles & Responsibilities :

Process Safety and Loss Prevention-To review, evaluate and oversee implementation of safety management system in particular to Process safety and loss Prevention and related safety activities and initiates for existing assets, facilities modifications and new projects.

Participate in design reviews, technical safety studies of new facilities or upgrades and consulting on process safety and loss prevention related issues including risk assessments.

1. Process Safety:

Expectations

• Skill level to Perform/Participate Risk assessments, PHA’s- HAZOP, HAZID, what if, SIL, BoW Tie, dropped object etc.

• Skill Level to advanced level to perform consequence Modelling QRA using PHAST or equivalent tool and develop reports.

• Engineer shall be competent to perform System level studies. Examples of systems are – Separation, Gas Processing, Gas compression, Flare Systems (HP, LP), Vent Systems (HP, LP) etc.

• Working knowledge of various International codes and standards including NFPA.

• Design of fire water system including fire water demand, P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, etc.

• Preparation of fireproofing schedule and diagrams.

• Preparation of fire & gas detection layouts and cause & effect charts

• Knowledge of active and passive fire protection systems.

• Skill level in Analysis of fire water network

• Preparation of Hazardous area classification schedule

• Preparation of Escape route/safety sign layouts

• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including API 520/521, DEPs, ANSI B31.3, ASME Pressure Vessel Code.

• Engineer shall perform Process Simulations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.

• Expertise in developing PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, Safe charts.

• Proven skills in routine process calculations [Blowdown/Depressurization (MDMT) studies.

• Perform flare tips (for radiation) and flare network analysis using Aspen Flare software

• Engineer shall perform hydraulic calculations
