RedSeal Hiring for Software Engineer, Backend at Pune, India Full Time

RedSeal is looking for Software Engineer, Backend primarily responsible for supporting existing business needs by developing new and improved processes and identifying cost saving projects. Sustaining Engineers will handle operational issues, as well as assessing incident reports for immediate resolution.

Performance Objectives and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Design, code and test application features building complex network security application software, while working with engineering leaders, architects and product managers to scope work and produce estimates

• Leverage technology knowledge to advance product architecture and create technical designs while partnering with the product owner to deliver and gain QA acceptance

• Work on algorithmic, distributed systems problems

• Scale out the platform to 10x+ the current size

• Investigate product complaints, perform root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion

• Willing to work with US Time zone/ Odd hours is preferred

• Deployment of product, customer network knowledge is helpful

• Analyze Complaint data and generate prioritized actions to address shortcomings associated with the company’s products

• Review existing product design, identify weaknesses, propose, implement and monitor effectiveness of improvements

• Interact with customers, marketing, and sales as required to capture user needs and look for opportunities to improve products

• Perform all duties in compliance with the posture security management; actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the same

  Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Java development

• BS in Computer Science or related field

• Proven successful technical leadership experience in network security technologies

• Strong networking infrastructure background and deep understanding of routers, firewalls, load balancers and switches

• Experience using tools such as Pivotal, GitHub and Jenkins

• Exposure to SDN/cloud fabric such as VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure is a plus

• Good understanding/prior experience administering Layer 3 devices

• Experience in implementing complex data models in Postgres

• Linux development/administrator knowledge

• RCCA – Ability to root cause issues seen on the field provide guidance/corrective action to address them

• Log analysis – examine logs and correlate log entries to application code in support of RCCA

• Ability to communicate guidance/corrective action clearly with Customers (written, oral)
