Regal Rexnord Looking For Design Engineer I at Hyderabad, Telangana, Full Time

A Creative engineer to work in the design of power transmission components which includes the Couplings, Torque limiters, Locking Assemblies etc…The Position is responsible for producing high-quality engineering drawings using Solidworks and Draftsight CAD software’s. Engineer to work in multidisciplinary teams to generate and develop the next generation ideas and products. This position will closely work with the Application Engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing teams to ensure a strong alignment between business needs/requirements and solutions/services. The candidate role is responsible for designing and developing the Engineered to order(ETO) drawings for both customers and production (or) developing and delivering effective configurator-specific solutions for our business which leverages the development of engineering tools for our website in industry-standard best practices.

Job Description (JD)

• Produce product drawings for standard and modified power transmission products, create detailed component drawings and General Assembly drawings using Solid works.
• Design special components or modify existing components as required by our customers.
• Calculate component dimensions, clearances, and tolerances (GD&T).
• Identify all components, Prepare Bills of Materials, and any other documents necessary for ordering and processing release of drawings, parts, or specifications.
• Check accuracy of the work produced by self and others.
• Transfer technical data between Regal Rexnord Energy Group and subcontractors/Vendors.
• Manage the workflow in and out of India for customers overseas. Be the single point of contact for the off-shore customers (the US and Europe).
• Create master excel data tables and master 3d models & 2D drawings for Automation projects.
• Often work with software programmers(C, C++, or VB.Net) to troubleshoot the issues and act as a bridge between Engineering and automation teams. Actively participate/provide all kinds of training as required.

Job Specification: (Education, Training and Experience) :

• Must have a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of prior experience and proficiency with using 3D and 2D CAD software.
• Solidworks knowledge is a must (Thru Experience or Certification )
• Must have knowledge/work experience in data management systems like PDM/DDM/Teamcenter/Windchill environments.
• Must have PLM Knowledge.
• Must have hands on experience with Microsoft 365 application mainly Excel, PowerPoint, word, etc…
• Must have work experience as a user in any one of the popular ERP(SAP, Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, etc…) and CRM systems(Salesforce, Zoho, Dynamics, etc…)
• Detailed component and complex assembly design/Drafting experience.
• Must be Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.
• Prior experience in power transmission is added advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
• Conversant with various drafting standards (ISO, ASME, DIN)
• Must understand the basic manufacturing and material treatment process.
• Keen acumen for design decisions and ability to give attention to details.
• A team player should be able to cooperatively work in multi-disciplinary teams and be self-motivated.

Competencies / Skills:

• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• Knowledge of programming languages like C, C++, or Vb.Net.
• Experience in CAD Automation projects like Driveworks, Epicor CPQ, Configure one, etc…
• Power transmission work experience (Couplings, Bearings, Gearbox, Turbines, Pumps, Motors, etc…)
• Global work experience -Work with various teams across the globe
• VAVE & NPD project Experience.
• Engineering hand calculations for strength Analysis, material selection, torque calculation, etc…
• Proficiency in Excel VBA Coding.
• Flexible to work in US time zones.
• Strong Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player and collaborative.
• Commercial awareness.
• Ability to foster work with teams in a fast-paced project environment.
