Relevant Hiring For Podcast Editor (part-time) at Remote Full Time

We’ve been podcasting since 2005, and expanding that side of our media mix is a major part of our future.

We’re looking to add a part-time audio editor to our remote team to lead the technical production of all of our audio content. The position will edit and produce episodes of the RELEVANT Podcast, RELEVANT+ Conversations and future shows. The work currently is approximately 20 hours per week.

This is more than just a technical/engineering position. Equally important to creating a high-quality listening experience is the ability to craft narrative content and create audio nuances that elevate the content. The audio editor needs to have a passion for the podcast format and the ability to create compelling content for a variety of shows, styles and formats.

Having a passion for RELEVANT’s mission and voice is a must.

JOB details

Record, edit and post weekly episodes of The RELEVANT Podcast, RELEVANT+ Conversations, and upcoming podcasts Unedited and Christian Culture Survival Guide.

Create audio cuts and make subjective decisions regarding the most appropriate audio cuts for publication and distribution.

Provide direction and feedback to talent and content creators as needed.

Collaborate with the content team on show ideas, and produce show elements like jingles (as needed).

Create episode promotional clips (including video) for marketing and social media.

Work is subject to quality control feedback.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 1 year of podcast audio production experience.

Video editing experience a plus.
