LexisNexis Risk Solution group are currently seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a friendly, forward thinking collaborative team. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking for the opportunity to build further on acquired skills.

We provide excellent training and mentoring so that on completion you will be able to:

• Performs complex research, design, and software development assignments using Core Technology and Concepts –Pyspark (or Python + ETL) and Cloud concepts.

• Be comfortable working day-to-day in the key technologies/languages – SQL, Unix, GIT, Terraform.

What we are looking for:

• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

• Strong analytical skills, Communication, Problem Solving skills.

• Expertise in Cloud (prefer Azure), Pyspark (or Python with ETL).

• Expertise on SQL, Unix.

• End to end knowledge software development lifecycle.

• Should have adequate knowledge on – PreData processing, Facts and Dimension, Data Profiling, using any ETL tool – Talend, Informatica, IBM DataStage, Pentaho or using Bigdata concepts.

• Expected knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

• Good Problem Solving and Requirement understanding skills as well as a positive attitude, ability, and desires to learn new processes and technologies.

• Successfully implement end to end development and help with Code Reviews, Best practices.

• Knowledge on Cloud tools like – Data Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent AWS tools will be helpful.

• Good to have knowledge on Terraform scripts.
