Job Description Summary:

Directs the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new products. Oversees the development of multiple teams of EDI software, low-code platform generator as well as an enterprise search application. Hires, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsible for deliveries of products and growth of teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Directs the activities of a software applications development function for software application enhancements and

new products.

• Oversees the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial

or end user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or personal

applications products (e.g., spreadsheets, tax packages, personal finance programs).

• Analyzes and investigates applications engineering tasks and prepares design specifications, analysis, and

recommendations.

• Interacts with project managers, marketing, sales, and users to define application requirements and/or necessary

modifications.

• May also have responsibility for testing and documentation.

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring the efficient operation of the function.

• Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.

• Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting

to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Engineering leader with 18 years + SW Development Experience, at least 8 years managing multiple teams

• Should be currently handling product development teams from concept to delivery in a product-based company with strong technical knowledge

• If required, should be able to get to designs, development, and estimations on their own

• Proven experience in designing and deploying secure, scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, cost-efficient solutions in AWS public cloud

• Conversant with AWS Managed Services such as Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK), Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic File Systems (EFS), Elasticsearch Service, EC2 instances, Simple Storage Service (S3), WAF, Route 53, VPC, VPC Peering

• Collaboration with ID, QA and Produce Management functions to drive the roadmap and customer deliverables

• Strong knowledge of one of the project management tools like Jira. Should be able to drive organization with data. Data-driven leadership is a must.

• Ability to take an organization and drive it for world-class deliveries while building strong teams, coaching teams

• Ability to communicate with the Executive leadership team while driving organization-wide initiatives

• The candidate should have a growth mindset and a can-do attitude
