Samsara Group Looking For Chief Financial Officer at Mumbai, Maharashtra, Full Time

Key purpose of the Job:

Candidate from Shipping / Logistics / Container liner business is a must. He/ She will be responsible for overseeing the account and finance functions and determining the financial objectives, designing and implementing systems, policies and procedures to facilitate internal financial controls and business performance.

Principal Accountabilities:

Ø Backing & supporting business strategies for maximizing profitability, revenue generation and realizing organizational goals.

Ø Responsible for Fund management and Cash Flows-Liaising and negotiating with banks and financial institutions.

Ø Should be able to handle the team of accountants.

Ø Ensuring timely funds for meeting business exigencies through regular fund management.

Ø Own the entire budgeting process with regular variance analysis at intervals as required.

Ø Designing and implementing systems and procedures; supervising the consolidation of accounts and preparation of financial statements and annual reports.

Ø Instituting internal control systems viz. debtors’ management, stock monitoring, as well as keeping a constant vigil over overhead expenses.

Ø Supervising the preparation of MIS reports providing feedback to the top management on financial performance, viz. fund management, credit control, profitability, etc.

Ø Ensuring compliance with the government rules and regulations as laid down by the statutory authorities’ viz. Income Tax dept, Customs, and Excise department, Sales Tax, PF etc.

Ø Networking & creating relationships in all functions mentioned above e.g. in Banking & Finance field, IT Systems, Taxation, Government regulatory mechanisms etc.

Desired Profile:

Ø The candidate should be a qualified CA having around 20 to 25 years of experience in having led the entire gamut of the finance and accounting function.

Ø The candidate should be Proficient in financial planning and analysis.

Ø The candidate should have had hands-on experience in designing internal controls, periodic business reviews, quality audit checks & streamlining accounting systems.

Ø The candidate should have expertise in Finalization of Accounts, Funds for working capital and Projects, Audit, MIS, determining financial objectives, designing & implementing systems, policies, conducting cost analysis and reporting variances to facilitate financial control.
