Research Assistant (Project-based Position)

Role: Research Assistant (Project-based)

Reporting to: Kanaja Convenor

Task/Responsibilities:

• Assisting as research associate in different youth-centric projects
• Conceptualising research project proposals
• Designing research tools
• Assisting in data collection and analysis (including transcriptions and translations) and dissemination

Language Requirements: Fluency in English & Kannada (written and spoken) and Hindi (spoken).

Skills Required: Interpersonal, Working in Team, Planning, and Designing.

Ideal Candidate will:

• Be passionate about youth work and youth rights
• Understand the relationship between youth and social justice
• Be willing to travel across cities of India
• Understand qualitative research methods
• Understand the research process, including management of finances
• Have strong social and communication skills

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in relevant field.

Qualification: Post-graduation in any humanities or social science discipline. A research degree will be a plus.

Apart from experience and education, preference will be given to women candidates, candidates from the Dalit communities, religious/ ethnic/ sexual minorities and to people with disabilities.
