To meet these market requirements, customers need to synchronize their demand chain with their supply chain. SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud is a strategic part of SAP Industry 4.0 solution. It is a powerful, enterprise-level, scalable, manufacturing business solution that enables global manufacturers to manage and control manufacturing and shop floor operations. It provides a multi-faceted set of features that integrates business systems to the shop floor, helping our customers in digital transformation of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.

We are seeking talents to join Digital Manufacturing team in SAP Labs Bangalore. The team is work on the innovation of product SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud, with technology of cloud and edge computing including Machine learning, AI, industrial automation, Industrial IoT.

THE ROLE

• Handle end-to-end project/product techno-functional solutions independently including design, development, testing and maintenance of custom solutions.

• Lead and work independently with developers to implement new and improved functions for the Manufacturing Cloud Solutions, understanding the big picture while still being hands-on yourself.

• Ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and with high quality.

• Exhibit expertise in various product areas involved in integrated solutions

• Act as a mentor for other developers within the organization.

• Responsible for product integration with other product areas within SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud and other SAP products

• Take part in product team meetings and represent the status of its development team (incl. review results) Participate in all stages of the product lifecycle

• Support key customer engagements and services and support teams as needed

ROLE REQUIREMENT

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Business Administration or related fields 10 years of professional software development experience

• Experience of product experience in SAP ME/MII is a plus

• Experience with development in cloud: platform, performance, security, tools is a plus.

• Development Architect with design and implement Java based solutions with scalability, reliability, maintainability and testability

• Strong technical skills with technologies like Java/J2EE, JAVA spring, spring boot, SAP HANA, UI Technologies and Data protocols to develop modem cutting edge software that performs and scales in cloud environment Working experience on messaging services like Kafka, RabbitMQ

• Sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles, Design Patterns and Software Architecture, especially in new age Cloud solutions

• Must be able to design and implement across all layers of the software (UI, Backend, Database, Mobile) Knowledge of lean development infrastructure process including Git/Gerrit, Maven 3.0, Maven Plug-ins & Mojos

• Ability to break down abstract problems into smaller well-defined ones and identify workable solutions

Nice to have:

• Exposure to IoT or Machine Learning

• Experience in working in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
