Job Description

• Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS Platform
• Experience in Developing custom WordPress themes, plugins and Gutenberg Blocks
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality for Third Party Themes & Plugins
• Understands WP architecture and knows how to perform database and code optimization for WordPress
• Experience in designing and developing responsive websites
• Transforming complex PSD layouts into pixel-perfect presentation layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
• Migrating websites from other platforms to WordPress
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in WordPress sites
• Troubleshoot development issues and provide solutions
• Experience in WP Plugin Integration (WooCommerce, LMS, WPML, Membership plugins etc)
• 2+ years previous experience in front-end/web development with latest HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, frameworks, & other trends and methodologies
• 2+ years of proven work experience as a WordPress Developer in Object Oriented PHP, building themes, plugins, utilizing the power of hooks and custom fields
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficiency in MYSQL and AJAX
• The ability to work on LAMP development environment
• A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Be responsible for product quality by optimizing, refactoring and re-implementing legacy applications
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Understanding of W3C Web Standards/Semantics and Accessibility Guidelines
• Have up to date knowledge of new guidelines and methodologies & high scalability with WordPress
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial Working under tight deadlines
