What the role is
The Tester supports the Test Manager/Test Leads in Application Testing and implementing group best practices Test processes and practices. They work closely with the Test Manager and/or Test SME to ensure that application testing and reporting are aligned to project delivery. The purpose of the Tester is to do testing of big implementation Projects. The services are critical to ensure defects are detected upfront during testing and to ensure only quality deliverables are moved to the production box. Also, the tester is expected to prepare & execute test scripts, report test results and manage defects.
Key responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with Test Manager / Business Analysts in project to assess test scenarios and provide test requirements based on risk-based testing methodology
Focus is on testing complex applications and infrastructure
Acts as an SME within Testing area concerning multiple IT systems / domains
Responsible to deliver testing for UT, SIT, UAT, Assurance Testing & beyond
Assist to provide high level test approach, test plan for the project
Analyze impacts of changes & determine scope for the project
Assist to provide Test Effort Estimation for the project
Design and Develop test conditions, test scripts, test data, and expected results for test streams, including System Test, Integration Test, UAT and Deployment Test
Execute test scripts and Defect Triaging with support from Business Analysts
Manage group of testers for test case creation & Test Execution
Identify & Manage Test Data, Test Environment needs
Provide Test Status with accurate Reporting
Provide clarity on defect severity & priority
Coordinate with Vendors and concerned teams for Defect fixes and validate fixes
Risk/Issue management
Analyze and conduct Root cause analysis (RCA)
What we need from you
Working experience as software tester for at least 5-6 years
Testing experience across different SAP modules like HR, Billing, Invoicing, Procurement
Testing exposure in SaaS applications like ServiceNow and Identity & Access Management
Experience in SAP Fieldglass or similar Vendor Management System implementation
Experience in Azure DevOps (ADO) test & defect management
Hands on experience in Worksoft test automation tool
Strong experience in Integration Testing, API Testing
Should be thorough in test management tools like MF-ALM and Azure Devops
Experience in Waterfall and Agile Methodologies and adherence to SDLC standards
