Job Purpose:

The mobility and lubes economic advisor for an OU plays an important role in ensuring that investments / deals being made by Shell with the capex allocated are made towards making Shell a world class investment case. The advisor would take on a smaller portfolio OU. The advisor is an important gatekeeper who would carry out the following roles:

• Custodian and implementer of economic guidance and best practice economics Subject matter experts on economics and key focal for decision making

• Gatekeeper for investments / deals proposed to be made by the business from allocated capex

• Post investment reviews and actions to improve economic modelling and forecasting

• Work on CI initiatives on the economics front Working on adhoc projects for the individual OU

Job requirements

• Well-rounded finance professional (MBA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA etc.) with 4-6 years’ experience years in business finance (preferably with experience in financial modelling, equity research, transaction support, and investment analysis).

• Economic and financial modelling (Excel spreadsheet) experience is essential

• Intermediate technical knowledge in Corporate Finance, Valuation, Financial Analysis would be needed.

• Project management skills – track record of prioritizing and delivering your own workload.

• Stakeholder management – influencing, advising and challenging others – is an important part of the job.

• Problem solving mindset with the courage to ensure professional financial rigor is applied to decision-making process.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Good analytical aptitude, and ability to ask questions

• Strong collaboration & interpersonal skills.

• Be organized and structured in the completion of tasks

• Ability to apply a risk-based, practical approach to problem solving, coupled with the ability to rationalize decisions with significant uncertainty and incomplete info

• Shift Timings: 02 to 11 pm ( North America)
