Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager for IT, the Database Administrator will ensure that databases located in Azure, on premise or AWS, are operating efficiently and securely. Working with the IT team, the DBA will be responsible for maintenance and ensuring that effective security measures are applied to each database. This position will be responsible for setting permissions, optimizing database files, and maintaining the size of the databases. Working with CDS team to ensure proper queries are written and identifying bottlenecks for performance, as well a monitoring backups of the databases will be key day to
day operations of the position.
Position Requirements:Other Skills: Knowledge and/or working skills in the following areas:
Experience working in MS Azure & Amazon AWSComprehensive knowledge of MS SQL Server, including setting up user account access to
SQL Server Agent jobs as well as setting up SQL server parameters
Analytical mindset and solid problem-solving skillsSkilled at making improvements to query performance through capacity planning, backup
and recovery and ensuring data integrity
Experience with DB Mail & DBAMPExperience with restoring databases and tablesExperience with setting up and maintaining database maintenance programs and stored
procedures
Creation and management of DB users, permissions and user rights
