Job Description

• Design, develop, and implement custom Power BI reports and dashboards that are visually appealing, easy to use, and meet the needs of the organization.

• Develop and implement complex data models using Power BI’s DAX language, data sources, and relationships.

• Maintain and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to ensure optimal performance and stability.

• Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand and prioritize business requirements, recommend solutions, and provide technical guidance and support.

• Develop and maintain Power BI documentation, including data dictionaries, user guides, and knowledge base articles.

• Create and implement data governance policies and processes to ensure data security, accuracy, and consistency.

• Develop and maintain Power BI data sources, including Power BI datasets and Power BI Reports, to ensure that data is up-to-date, accurate, and consistent.

• Implement data refresh and data integration processes to ensure that Power BI dashboards and reports are updated in real-time.

• Provide training and technical support to end-users on how to use Power BI dashboards and reports effectively.

• Stay current with new Power BI features, functionalities, and trends, and continuously learn and expand your knowledge in the field.

• Gather requirements, design, develop, implement, maintain, and manage dashboards, visualizations, and other BI solutions.

• Understands the relevant data needs and coordinates with the data team to deliver meta data models in support of reporting needs.

• Optimize performance (load time) of dashboards, data sources, and reports using best practices.

• Own and maintain non-DB data inputs, such as Excel and other text-based data sources.

• Manage and maintain the scheduling and delivery of reoccurring reports and data extracts.

• Responsible for the organization of assets within the BI applications

• Facilitate Employee Self Service solutions for end users to easily find answers to ad-hoc questions through ease of use and training solutions.

• Work within an Agile methodology to design, develop, test, and implement reporting features and functions to include system enhancements.

• Document, review and improve existing systems while collaborating with teams to integrate new systems and needs.

Job Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Masters preferred.

• 10+ years of experience working in the space of business system analytics.

• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing Power BI solutions.

• Proficient in SQL, DAX, and Power BI development.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and business intelligence.

• Experience with data visualization, report design, and data analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
