Wilson Composites India, LLP Hiring for AutoCAD / SolidWorks Design Engineer at Mumbai Full Time

Job Summary

Manufacturing company looking for an Engineer, with experience creating construction drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software, and 3D modeling experience using SolidWorks. Experience in architectural 3D modelling is strongly preferred.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 45 hours per week. Late morning to late evening hours are required in order to have an overlap with the U.S. based team

About Us
At Wilson Composites, we are manufacturers of custom Fibertech Architectural Fiberglass (FRP) and (GFRC) products for the commercial construction industry. We specialize in the design, engineering, and fabrication.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Model architectural trim products using SolidWorks
• Create 2D plans, elevations and details including wall sections, connection, and framing details
• Develop drawing submittals and revisions for customer approval
• Error proofing of drawings
• Creating production models and first article inspection drawings.
• Generating first article reports for the drawings
• Assisting QC team for any first article inspection queries
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing at supplier’s
• Create Bill of Materials and verify vendor drawings
• Support Engineering Manager in miscellaneous tasks

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Minimum:

• SolidWorks 2021/ Autodesk Inventor modeling, utilizing parts and assemblies – 3 years exp.; Intermediate skill level
• AutoCAD 2010 or newer (Or DraftSight) drafting of building construction architectural details, creating drawing sets using sheet layouts in AutoCAD – 3 years exp.; Intermediate skill level
• GD&T
• Commercial building construction exposure – 3 years exp.; Intermediate skill level
• Interpreting U.S. construction materials, building practices, architectural, and structural construction drawings
• Microsoft Excel, Word – Intermediate skill level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with modern computer hardware, software, and cloud sharing services

Preferred (all of the above, and):

• FRP (Fiber reinforced plastics) part, mold, and pattern design
• GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) part, mold, and pattern design
• Bluebeam review of drawings

Minimum Education
Bachelor of Architecture, Civil Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer that meets the above qualifications
