The Role: Sr Consulting Analyst, Chemical Consulting

The Team: You are part of a global dynamic chemical consulting team. Fast paced, with ever expanding new ways of creating and advising chemical producers, governments, financial institutions and technology providers operating at any point along the chemical value chain, from commodity to specialty chemicals. With in-house expertise spanning across the value chain and markets, our team are uniquely equipped to deliver bespoke projects that meet each customer’s individual requirements.

The Impact: The analyst will be responsible for researching, analyzing, managing data and will perform high level analytic work and use in proprietary studies as well as the compilation of project reports and presentations across a wide range of petrochemical value chains.

This person will have the opportunity to increase their analytical skills and knowledge by interacting with industry experts within the organization, helping to form a consistent and comprehensive view of the petrochemical, and commodity markets.

Responsibilities:

• Independent research via the library or Internet.

• Possess research and analytical writing skills.

• Audit and update economic and financial models such as the crude oil price adjustor or cost curves.

• Ability to interpret petrochemical supply/demand balances, capacity, and trade data across multiple value chains.

• Construct and manipulate Excel workbooks for data analysis.

• Ability to translate raw data and concepts into graphical reports.

• Work with other product consultants to produce comprehensive presentations and reports

• Review data for accuracy and proofreading of written reports.

• Complex Economic and Cost Competitiveness Modeling. Maintain and improve complex economic models and cash flow model used for financial analysis of integrated petrochemical complexes

What We’re Looking For:

• High degree of data management

• Must learn and understand petrochemical industry terminology across all value chains

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience in using structured methods and data analysis to derive forecasts and research insights

• Displays well-rounded communication skills that implement good listening techniques, clear, concise writing style; and good verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally. Public speaking experience is a plus.

• Works well in a global team environment, focusing on collaboration and adapting to the needs of a diverse team.

• Adapt at managing multiple tasks and adhering to regular deadlines. Able to adjust priorities throughout the day.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is a minimum

• Finance, business, or science degrees are preferred
