What You Will Do and Learn:


We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our corporate support team. This position works closely with the Staff Accountant and Controller to support our rapidly growing firm.

In this role, the ideal candidate will be able to:

• Provide cash flow support including processing daily electronic deposits, including AR cash application and daily bank reconciliation in Accounting System
• Provide expense report management support that includes reviewing current expense reports for accuracy, follow up for timely approval of reports, submitting expense reimbursement reports to HR and reconciling expense payments
• Vendor/ Accounts Payable support that includes monitoring department email for vendor bills and entry into Accounting System
• Manage department email and follow up with internal team to complete tasks needed
• Support Corporate Credit Card program, entering monthly statements in Accounting System and sending reports to COO/CEO
• Support General Ledger and Financial Reporting duties including the preparation, recording and reconciliation of key accounts for asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries. Maintain and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies. Assist with general ledger transactions
• Supporting ad-hoc projects for Finance, Accounting, Operations and HR

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of educational and experience.
• Strong time management skills and work ethic; attention to detail; highly organized and efficient
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently in a high growth environment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting procedures, technical, operational accounting and finance functions are a must
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Netsuite, Intacct or other web-based ERP systems
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Customer Support approach to answering vendor and customer inquiries
• Experience working with international teams is desired
