Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Job Purpose: Effectively and efficiently manage the FM warehouses and closely coordinate with Supply Chain and production teams to manage the inbound and out bound material movement from the plant as per production and dispatch planning. He will also be responsible for maintaining & reconciliation of Sub-contracting activity. Quality and accuracy of packed FM dispatched to domestic as well overseas customers and managing the transporters for domestic dispatches will also be part of his responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities/Activities:
Warehouse Management:
- Conduct Perpetual Inventory Cycle count, reconciliation of stock, Stock Assessment for deterioration, location control etc. for FM inventory to maintain inventory accuracy level & traceability.
- Negotiation and execution of all warehouse contracts in coordination with Logistics Manager and selection of Warehouse Service Provider
- Ensure 100% meeting of daily dispatches target (Domestic & export) against the given plan.
Transportation Management:
- Demonstrate a high level of ethical standard in handling transporters & service providers and ensure timely documentation and payment to serviced providers.
- Monitor and evaluate transporter performance for primary and secondary transportation to drive improvements in the following areas to achieve reduced cost per unit
