Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Forecast levels of demand for services and products;
- Keep a constant check on stock levels;
- Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;
- Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided;
- Process payments and invoices;
- Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future;
- Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities for both domestic and international trade
- Give presentations about market analysis and possible growth;
- Develop a purchasing strategy;
- Produce reports and statistics using ERP;
- Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors;
- Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives;
- The routine work involves extensive calls & follow-up with suppliers, traders, brokers
- Booking & Handling MBM, Tallow, Poultry Oil, Wheat bran across all the feedmills in India
- Ensuring optimum level of inventory across all the feedmills in India
- Seasonal market survey work across India to know the availability and trend
- Submit product related market report to category manager on daily basis
- Prepare MIS/Reports preparation, coordination with Purchase Executives.
- Liaison work with govt/statutory departments for statistics information
- To ensure the participation of suppliers through ebidding

Minimum 6 years of experience in poultry raw materials purchase
