Responsibility:-

• Responsible for utilities, air conditioning & maintenance of building & premises, maintenance of engineering equipments.

• To ensure the engineering activities such as preventive maintenance, Routine & breakdown maintenance, Calibration, Equipment & area validation are carried out as per the schedule.

• To enforce and maintain high degree of morale, discipline amongst the team.

• To ensure that all the system and equipment are upgraded, validated & Automated as per the procedures & requirements.

• To ensure that the subordinates are adequately trained for job assigned.

• Optimum utilization of resources.

• To ensure that optimum resources such as man, material & area are available for the smooth operation of engineering related activities.

• In-House training of all the persons working in the maintenance.

• Validation & qualification of all equipments/system of utilities and air conditioning.

• To ensure that contactors are trained for the job they are doing.

• Preparation & revision of SOPs related to engineering activities.

• To ensure that all SOPs related to engineering are being followed.

• Compliance to all type of Statutory requirements and all type of work outside the Production Block and other A-41 premise.

• Toensure and improve machine performance on automation and regular basis. Automatic and instrumentation breakdown minimization, increasing the productivity and efficiency.

• Develop Preventive Maintenance Plan of Mechanical Equipment / Utilities as per applicable legal requirements, Practices at Plants and Installations prone to Electrical Fires / for Improvement in Energy Performance.

• Evaluation and Compliance to Legal & other Requirements

• Ensure Preventive Maintenance of Mechanical Equipment / Utilities as per plan

• Maintenance of Bulk Petroleum Storages, if any

• Ensure Calibration and Setting of Mechanical Equipment and Other Instruments to Support Management of Energy Uses in relevant Segments

• Ensure Inspection of Own and Contractors Mechanical Equipment / Utilities.

• Understanding, Implementation and Training on the following.

• Preventive Maintenance.

• Breakdown Maintenance

• Energy Budgeting, Monitoring, Control and Optimization. Prepare Budget plan & discuss with management for approval/ Monitor the Budget and take appropriate action to control & Discuss the deviation with management

• Analysis of Mechanical / Utility Breakdowns promotion of Safe and Efficient Practices at all levels. Analysis of malfunctions which interrupt the day to day production activity.

• Maintenance of Mechanical / Utilities Records, their Analysis, Initiate Corrective Actions

• Calibration of Mechanical Equipment / Instruments / Utilities as per plan

• Mechanical / Utility Safety Education and Energy Audits and Inspection.

• Inspection and Audit of Mechanical / Utilities Contractors based on established and controlled checklists.

• Understanding Risks in Mechanical Systems and laying down control practices in line with regulatory provisions and Company requirements to establish, Maintain and Implement EnMS as per ISO 50001 : 2018.

• Maintenance of Incident Records, Interruptions and Investigation of Incidents and Accidents leading to Process Interruptions and Energy Loss.
