Position Description
The dynamic and versatile IT Project Management Specialist – Infrastructure Projects is responsible to:
Primarily – stand up green field Boeing Campus fitted with all IT Infrastructure including NW, AV/VTC, LAN/WAN, WiFi, telephony. Success Criteria – Develop, Manage, Control and Close green field Boeing Campus fitted with all IT Infrastructure as per project plans and deliverables.
Additionally – Develop, Manage, Control and Close other projects complete with all IT Infrastructure as per project plans and deliverables
Roles & Responsibilities: Successful IT Project Management Specialist – Infrastructure Projects, will have major responsibilities and accountability to:
Execute the plan and deliver the IT portion of the project per quality, schedule and cost.
Act as a strategic advisor to the Director and senior management of the IT&DA.
Develop and manage information technology project plans and deliverables as per Project Management principles
Determine scope, schedule and budget baselines
Incorporate quality management systems for IT projects.
Monitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Develop and execute project communication plans.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
Aid identify suppliers and to coordinate and oversee supplier activities.
Represent Director/Senior management in meetings, by email, and phone calls with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the Director and senior management.
Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.
Other Responsibilities
Manage the IT priorities their time and schedule.
Record deliberations, discussions and decisions.
Coordinate and collaborate – draft letters, emails, reports, presentations, and other correspondence on behalf of the Director and senior management.
In the project meetings, support Director and senior management in meetings by taking notes and assuming responsibility for completion of action items.
Acts as the liaison between Director and senior management and other executives, clients, and stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and ensuring involvement or decision-making at the proper time.
Show dynamism in supporting all other assigned tasks. With general, little or no guidance, with eye for research and fact finding, display leadership and gather complex data from multiple sources
With applicable schedules in mind, independently assemble and analyze data, prepare summary of information, requirements, equipment, facility needs etc.
Creation and Reporting content in MS Office tools
Coordination and Support Services
Serve as a representative for the organization
Coordinate and work closely with various IT&DA stakeholders – internal and external, and other functions such as Facilities, Finance etc.
Program operations and management
Develop and maintain the Operating Rhythm/schedules for program/projects
Support in the development and implementation of per-identified plans and objectives
Monitor and track execution of the plan and communicates status to all project participants
Provide support to special projects as needed
The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.
Qualification and Certification, Competencies and Skills
Qualification and Certification
Engineering Graduate in any discipline with demonstrated performance
PMP with more than 10 years of relevant experience
Competencies
Expert in the use of MS Office tools, and familiar with other Project Management tools
Demonstrated experience in Project Management.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics
Proactive, takes prompt action to accomplish objectives; acts to achieve goals beyond what is required
Innovative thinker to resolve and deal with work problems and opportunities
Creation of simple project schedules identifying time frames for key project milestones
Skills
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data
Knowledge of building reports and presentation materials
Excellent relationship management
Fluent in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication style.
Strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
