As a Supply Chain Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient distribution, optimizing inventory, and driving process improvements. Your key responsibilities will include:

🔹 **Distribution Planning and Optimization**:

– Develop and maintain distribution plans considering CFA-level forecasts, weekly manufacturing plans, and current orders.

– Optimize quantities and products for transport from manufacturing sites to CFA warehouses based on demand, inventory, and transport load efficiency.

– Continuously improve the distribution network using analytical tools, defining routes, and planning multi-point unloading (milk routes).

🔹 **Analytical and Reporting**: (champion data analytics, expert power BI user)

– Create and manage distribution planning tools in Excel and analytical dashboards using BI tools.

– Budget and project transportation costs based on forecasts.

– Drive network optimization and define efficient transport routes and lanes.

– Perform supply chain analytics to identify improvement areas and support strategic decision-making.

– Serve as a backup for the India market forecasting process to ensure operational continuity.

🔹 **Process Improvement and Inventory Management**:

– Implement systems to minimize gaps between stock availability and forecasts.

– Maintain inventory levels across CFAs as per norms, ensuring stock connectivity and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.

– Ensure advance transport planning

🔹 **Logistics and Coordination**:

– Oversee transport logistics and warehouse coordination, especially for government supplies.

– Support new product launches with efficient distribution planning.

– Manage freight to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation.

🔹 **Supply Planning for Imported Items**:

– Develop supply plans for traded or imported items using forecasts, MOQs, and lead times from global suppliers.

– Raise PRs, follow up on POs, and review open POs based on changing forecasts and stock on hand.

– Engage with suppliers monthly to understand future supply plans, risks, and challenges.

– Facilitate import activities by collaborating with imports, finance, and regulatory departments.

– Provide timely updates on PO status, delivery schedules, and potential issues.

– Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring aligned product availability and OTIF performance.
