Job Description
The PeopleSoft Administrator manages all PeopleSoft production and non-production environments for various ERP clients. This includes setup of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture PIA environment, installations, patches and upgrades, data refreshes, performance tuning, system maintenance and monitoring and troubleshooting of web server, application server, integration broker and associated process schedulers and developing and advancing best practices and tools.

Roles & Responsibilities
This role should take responsibility of the activities listed below, and may additionally perform activities related to PeopleSoft Admin Operations:
PeopleSoft Server Administration – Installation, Configuration, maintenance of application servers, process schedulers, web servers, file servers and Setup of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture PIA environment.Installation, administration, security and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting the PeopleSoft applications, including web servers, database servers, application servers, process scheduler, report servers, integration broker and file servers in Windows and UNIX.PeopleSoft Integration Broker Setup activity.Researches issues with application middleware, database, etc. and recommends/applies solutions such as configuration changes to O/S, Web Logic, PeopleSoft, Tuxedo or additional hardware, memory, CPUs etc.Add and update document standards for PeopleSoft architecture and configuration as well as day-to-day operational procedures and protocols.Maintains PeopleSoft system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning.Periodic testing of fail over of server, database, etc.Identifies, downloads, track and apply People Tools and PeopleSoft application upgrades and patches.Secures PeopleSoft system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.Proactively researches available and future releases of People Tools and recommends improvements/use of appropriate solutions/tools/security to application group.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
7+ year’s system administration experience in production/ non-production PeopleSoft environments.Strong knowledge of the installation, security, administration, monitoring and tuning of People Tools, 8.5x and PeopleSoft 9.x infrastructure.Strong knowledge of Integration Broker Setup activities and web services.Strong knowledge of update/change assistant and hands on experience applying PeopleSoft maintenance and application/Tools upgrades and PUM.Skills and experience in debugging/troubleshooting techniques for technical issues related to infrastructure components including application and web server, process scheduler, integration broker and database servers.Orientation toward detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.Ability to independently manage multiple tasks effectively, learn quickly and thrive in a constantly changing systems environment.Ability to work well in a team environment.Proficiency in oral and written communication.
