Recently Technicolor has rebranded to become Vantiva, after the spin-off of Technicolor Studios, and evolved into two industry-leading, independent listed companies.

Technicolor Creative Studios will continue to provide premium VFX & animation services to the global entertainment, media and advertising industries.

Vantiva will continue to leverage their leadership in high-growth Android TV and Ultra-Broadband technology markets and build on expertise in manufacturing, custom packaging and global logistics through its Supply Chain Solutions.

A significant number of transversal functions, essential to run operations, are still supporting both companies. These functions are called “Transition Services”.

The Transition Services teams provide Vantiva and Technicolor Creative Studios with strong foundations that will give them a head start in their new life.

The transition services are planned to end by Q1 2024 at which time the existing teams will be separated resulting in each business having its own, independent teams. There will be many opportunities for Transition Team employees to embark in a new journey in one of the companies at separation. These functions will be essential to the future success of both companies and Transition Team members will have the opportunity to participate and gain experience from the very exciting and interesting separation project.

Job Description

Server Administration

Technicolor is looking for an SME/admin in Linux / Unix Server & Storage Administration. This position is located in Bangalore, India, but will cater to global needs in dozens of Technicolor’s corporate locations.

Must have at least 5 years of experience as a technical expert in the area of Windows System Administration, including Citrix and Vmware.
Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance tuning of all windows server architecture(s) including Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016.

Must have experience in the following Server technologies:
Technicolor is looking for an SME/admin in System Administration. This position is located in Bangalore, India, but will cater to global needs in dozens of Technicolor’s corporate locations.

Must have experience as a technical expert in the area of Unix/Linux System Administration, including Storage Administration.
Installation, support, maintenance, configuration, management, monitoring and performance of all UNIX architecture(s) including AIX, Solaris, RedHat, CentOS and Ubuntu, and SAN/SAN infrastructure.
Must have experience in the following UNIX/LINUX technologies:
Account Management/PAM
SUDO and File System permissions
Bash and other scripting languages like Python
AD Integration – SSSD, Kerberos
Automation tools – Ansibel, Chef
Clustering using RedHat Cluster Suite and HACMP
Patching Services
Crontab/Tar
System logs
Slackware Packages
CIS policies

Must have experience in the following Storage technologies:
NAS – NFS and CIFS protocols
SAN – FiberChannel and iScsi protocols
NetApp FAS series Arrays
EMC Isilon and Compellent
Experience in Aspera and Hypervisors (Vmware/HyperV) will be considered favorably.
Experience in KVM and Openstack services will also be considered favorably.
Must have knowledge of Brocades and Networking devices.
Fulfill backup and data protection needs.
Exposure to other storage devices is preferred.
Should be a fast learner, work with vendor Tech Support as a last resort.
Must have the ability to document changes and store in a centralized location.
Must have worked in an Incident Management tool and follow company policies in Change Management.
Must provide regular updates to management on accomplishments, issues and progress.
Avoid working in a bubble, engage with stake holders to gather requirements, understand pain-points and develop solutions.
Be open to assist in other areas and learn new tools like Citrix and Solarwinds, and different versions of Windows.
Ability to discuss issues and prepare/present Root Cause Analysis to a varied audience.
We are building a team of Follow-The-Sun model, will need to work rotational shifts to cater to global needs.
Will be part of a global OnCall team.
