Summary:

Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the Library of Congress (LOC) Office, American Center, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi. The incumbent will work as sub-cashier in the LOC office and will be responsible to provide cashiering services in local currency. S/he helps with travel arrangements for two Field Directors, one Deputy Field Director, Locally Employed Staff LOC/New Delhi, LOC Country Representatives in Colombo, Dhaka, Kathmandu and Bibliographic Representative in India and Bhutan. S/he works with LOC Washington and other LOC overseas offices on all matters related to official visits to LOC-Delhi. S/he works as Procurement Assistant for goods and services for LOC. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: This position requires three years of experience in accounting or finance

Education Requirements:
This position requires successful completion of Secondary School (Class XII).

LANGUAGE:
Level 4 (Fluent) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.
AND
Level 3 (Good working knowledge) in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
