KRA1 Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with transportation providers and carriers to ensure that shipments are handled efficiently and that service level agreements are met.
• Engage with quality control teams to ensure that materials and products meet quality and regulatory standards. Address any quality or compliance issues promptly.
• Coordinate with production and operations teams to align logistics activities with production schedules, ensuring timely availability of materials and delivery of finished products.

KRA2 Legal

• Ensure that all logistics operations adhere to relevant regulations, such as environmental, health, and safety standards, as well as transportation and import/export regulations.

KRA3 Supply Management

• Work closely with suppliers to coordinate timely material deliveries and to address any supply chain disruptions or issues that may arise.
• Maintain clear and regular communication with all stakeholders, including suppliers, internal departments, and senior management.
• Address and resolve conflicts or disputes with suppliers in a timely and constructive manner, ensuring minimal disruption to the supply chain.
• Define parameters for appointment of transporters across various geographies.
• Manage the vendor evaluation process as per the defined criteria and evaluation parameters.
• Onboard vendors and ensure timely generation of vendor code by the commercials team.
• Conduct periodic vendor evaluation to determine continuity / change of vendors.
• Maintain and strengthen the ongoing relationship with the vendor. Timely address vendor issues / grievances.

KRA4 Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that products are handled and stored in compliance with quality and safety standards.

KRA5 Warehousing & Storage

• Supervise warehousing operations to ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of materials and products. Implement space optimization strategies to reduce storage costs.
• Ensure that the warehouse is equipped with suitable material handling equipment and tools for efficient movement and storage of materials.
• Provide direction and guidance to warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors, pickers, packers, and forklift operators. Ensure staff training and development.

KRA6 Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that they meet production and customer demand while minimizing excess stock and holding costs.
• Implement routing and scheduling systems to minimize transportation costs and fuel consumption while ensuring timely deliveries.
• Ensure the adherence of stocking norms (min, max and re-order level) for Finished Goods with Distributors.
• Explore options to set up network of supply points – at Cement Plants, in/along Cement Godown, other godown – Explore options to optimize secondary distribution cost by working closely with the Distributors.

KRA7 Supply Chain Efficiency

• Develop and implement strategies to improve overall supply chain efficiency, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Ensure on-time order processing and delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Minimize lead times and backorders.
• Identify and address potential supply chain and logistics risks, including disruptions, bottlenecks, and safety concerns.
