What you’ll learn & achieve::
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Database Administrator to join the UL Database team. This responsibility includes configuration, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and capacity planning of Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle and SQL Server Databases.
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite and related technologies, including Oracle Database, Concurrent Manager, WebLogic Server, and Fusion Middleware components.
Participate in the planning and implementation of Database (Oracle and SQL Server) upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Responsible for all aspects of Oracle Applications administration including configuration, patching, product upgrades, capacity planning, cloning, backup, and recovery.
Monitor the performance of the database and make any necessary improvements to ensure peak performance and high availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Implement security measures to protect the company’s data and infrastructure, including database hardening and user access controls.
Promote code changes to our production environment, ensuring adherence to our change management policies and procedures.
Responsible for evaluating patching requests, communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including procedures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Stay up to date with the latest Oracle Applications, Database (Oracle and SQL Server) technologies and trends, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
What makes you a great fit::
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in Oracle and SQL Server database design, administration and maintenance.
5+ years of Oracle E-Business application DBA.
Expertise in all major versions of EBS technology stack including Database, iAS, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, ISG, WebLogic and JVM.
Hands-on expertise as an Oracle and SQL Server DBA including High Availability, Backup/Recovery, maintenance/patching, and Performance Tuning.
Hands-on expertise with Oracle EBS R12.2, including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration, administration, and maintenance/patching of the application.
Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
Shell scripting and database programming skills.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager including EBS Application Pack.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills – verbal and written.
