Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and agile development for features and user stories for each sprint

• Develop web application with APIs and develop frameworks

• Collaborate as part of the scrum team in grooming user stories and development of acceptance criteria for the user stories

• Perform Code reviews

• Engineer automated test and metric reporting solutions

• Performance testing, tuning, and troubleshooting

Required Qualifications:

Sr. Software Engineer for Optum Perks with strong knowledge of new technologies (Knowledge on Java, Spring boot, micro services, React, NodeJS, JavaScript and TypeScript) to collaboratively work with agile team to come up with mutual solutions for development projects in an agile environment. Scope of work also includes integrating web application with APIs and development of micro-services in Azure Cloud based environment.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

• 7 – 12 years of experience

• Experience with Java, Spring boot, micro services, React, NodeJS, JavaScript and TypeScript

• Experience integrating web application with APIs

• Experience creating unit test cases

• Experience troubleshooting web applications development

• Experience building and consuming REST Applications

• Experience delivering software using an Agile / Scrum methodology

• Azure Cloud environment experience

• Knowledge on analytical tool

• Knowledge on Web application flow from start to end

• Good Web Security knowledge

• Good understanding of Google Web Optimization guidelines, Web Performance best practices and search engine optimization

• Good understanding of web application networking and communication flows

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Collaboratively work with agile team to come up with the mutual solutions for development projects

• Success designing and building high-quality, scalable commercial software applications

Preferred Qualification:

• Knowledge on Deployment on Azure/AWS/GCP, any NoSQL DB, complete view on automation test tools, experience in creating CICD pipeline and React Native
