VALEO Hiring for Software – System Métier – Senior System Engineer at Chennai, Tamil Nadu Full Time

The Product System Engineer has to ensure that the delivered system fulfills the customer requirements and expectations in respect to the Product supporting and internal functions (Communication, Diagnostics, Operating modes, failsafe strategy…) i.e. product functions not being in the scope of the End user functions managed by Functions owners

• Cooperates with FO Lead/FO/ System-, SW- & Mechatronic-Architects, Software Development, R&D Mechatronic PTM, Test engineers and platform functional owner to ensure consistency relating to product supporting function. 
• Analysis and understood the different architects models
• Defines the product supporting functions with respect to boundaries, conditions and constraints 
• Defines system requirements for the product supporting functions. 
• Ensures smooth communication between the project team and customer in regards to the product supporting functions 
• Aligns/agrees on customer requirements, drives and tracks the continuous development progress, reports the status and finally drives the release process of the product supporting function(s). 
• Contributes to the Function Decomposition and supports in requirements classification and documenting them in Requirements management Tools 
• Ensures the alignment of all involved development Metiers such as Function Owners, SW Architect, SW Project Manager, SW and System Test Lead, Functional Safety Engineer, SW Requirement Engineer 
• Ensures that IQs of different métiers mapped in the supporting Products are answered in time
• Contributes to the System release Plan for the supporting functions 
• In case of deviations, define together with the Functional Core Team countermeasures. In case the Functional Core Team cannot solve the issue by itself escalates the topic to the System TPM and provides adequate information and proposals for decision making 
• Manages the change management process in terms of QCD for all changes related to the supporting Products. Following the decision of the CCB he/she manages the implementation of the change (see above).

• To request all necessary inputs to carry on team’s duty (requirement specification, defect description, test environment) 
• To escalate issues regarding system Products according to escalation matrix/level 
• To request all necessary inputs to carry on a team’s duty (project plan & schedule, ..)
