Job Title: Workshop Manager (Automobile)
Job Summary:
The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the automobile workshop, ensuring efficient and effective repair and maintenance services are delivered to customers. The Workshop Manager will lead a team of technicians and support staff to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, including scheduling, allocation of jobs, and monitoring workflow.
Ensure workshop efficiency, productivity, and quality standards are met.
Implement and maintain processes to achieve optimal utilization of resources (manpower, equipment, and facilities).
Monitor and control workshop expenses, including labor, parts, and consumables.
Technical Oversight:
Ensure all repairs and maintenance work is carried out to manufacturer standards and industry best practices.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide guidance to technicians.
Stay up-to-date with latest technologies, tools, and methodologies.
Customer Service:
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication and effective issue resolution.
Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Foster a culture of customer-centricity within the workshop.
Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technicians, apprentices, and support staff.
Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Quality Control and Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, including job cards, inventory, and customer data.
Prepare reports on workshop performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
