Job Description: “Business Analyst I”

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst I – Global Pricing & Operations will be responsible for supporting and executing day-to-day activities related to various global/regional SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Operations and support different Pricing Operations activities. This would include (and not be limited to) activities like:

• Day-to-day management of End-customer/Channel/Enterprise SaaS Operations

• Co-ordinating and working in liaison with globally spread out team members and other functions like Revenue, Deal Management, Order Management, IT etc.

• Support and act as SME for SaaS Operations setups

• Follow the system configuration steps as per the Standard Operating Procedure/ maintain the documentation based on periodic changes

• Articulate the Gaps in the system and translate them to business requirements, system setup/configurations & understanding of the impact

• Initial troubleshooting of the system configuration and behavior

• Creating various reports and metrics relevant to the SaaS Operations

• Contribute towards Documentation of different processes

• Contribute to the Testing & Roll-out activities of SaaS Operations

The person who fills this position will need to thoroughly understand VMware’s Products and SaaS Operations. From an operational perspective, the analyst must proactively interface and co-ordinate efforts with corporate, clearly understand responsibilities for execution, diligently document processes, Ensure on-time, accurate and consistent delivery, and occasionally make presentations to senior leadership.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of industry experience in Finance/Marketing/ area in an Enterprise Software business or an ISV or a Technology company

• In general, candidates who have worked as Business Analysts, Pricing analysts would fit in well.

The ideal candidate is expected to:

• Possess good understanding of common business processes in Finance & Marketing, especially in a SaaS environment

• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

• Zeal to learn the new applications or business processes based on the organization needs.

• Demonstrate ability to learn business processes quickly, Pro-active problem-solving ability

• Seamlessly adjust in a Global & Matrixed environment

• Multi-task, Be Detail oriented, Team oriented, Business and Process oriented

• Be Systems & Software aware (Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, etc.). Expertise in using spreadsheet/macros/Business Intelligence (BI) tools will be an added advantage

Educational Qualification:

• Graduation in Computer Science. Having expertise using ERP Systems, Business Intelligence tools and Salesforce as an end user is an added advantage

• MBA preferred
