ZS’s India Capability & Expertise Centers house more than 60% of ZS people across two locations in Gurgaon and Pune. The Centers primarily support projects in the areas of Business Analysis, Business Operations and Business Technology.
Within ZS’ Business Technology group, the User Experience Expertise Center (UXEC) works with clients to design effective technology solutions that support & enhance critical business processes and manage the implementation of those solutions. The User Experience team, specifically, spearheads a variety of user experience engagements from large scale business transformation and customer experience initiatives to interactive dashboards, web portals, and applications for mobile and desktop. ZS Associates, a global leader in sales and marketing effectiveness, seeks a User Experience Design Lead to join our Pune office. You will work with user researchers to leverage user research findings to formulate and execute design, navigation and interaction strategies that meet client business needs for various dashboards, data visualizations, enterprise applications and information systems. As a senior member of the team, you will provide thought leadership in our UX consulting practice and be an integral part of guiding a small team of skilled Senior UX Designers. 6-10 years of experience in the field of User Experience, with a focus on leading the design and delivery of business or enterprise applications that are complex, high-volume, and high profile, including portals, business applications, mobile apps, interactive dashboards, data visualization and information design. As a senior member of the team, you will: Foster a user-centered, collaborative design process :

• Partner and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including other members of the UX team, throughout all stages of the user-centered design process

• Define, socialize and implement best practices for user experience design, leveraging industry standards

• Apply strategic thinking and demonstrate awareness of business goals while striving for a highly usable and engaging end-to-end user experience

• Manage project outcomes at all levels, from client / stakeholder expectations, to timeline and financials

Lead best-in-class UX design :

• Support UX strategic goals by creating designs that support user needs, meet business goals and are technically feasible

• Demonstrate an ability to clearly understand an end user’s perspective from user research findings and tie the findings to business goals to provide design recommendations accordingly.

• Create navigation and user interfaces with sitemaps, paper prototypes or wireframes, screen mock ups, behavioral specifications, style guidelines, icons, information graphics to explain user research insights and deliver other design artifacts as needed

• Ensure all UI definition and development is consistent with usability standards, best practices, and strategy

• Strive for optimal usability and user engagement for the end-to-end experience by leveraging industry standards while understanding technology limitations

Lead business development :

• Establish strong relationships with project teams and clients to generate business

• Develop an appropriate understanding of business context and client goals

– Cultivate new UX opportunities in collaboration with ZS account teams – Support business development through the writing of proposals, collateral, and development staffing / pricing approach Contribute to development and dissemination of UX expertise both inside and outside ZS

• Teach and mentor junior team members about UX research and design best practices and industry standards

• Nurture a design thinking culture within and beyond the Business Technology / Software Development practice area at ZS

• Inform and shape the growth of a best-in-class UX practice that is recognized inside and outside of the firm.

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
