Role Overview: Zypp Electric is seeking a dedicated and experienced Policy & Sustainability Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in driving our commitment to sustainability through effective policy advocacy and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, sustainable practices, and a passion for promoting clean energy solutions in the electric vehicle sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions at local, regional, and national levels, supporting Zypp Electric’s business objectives.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to electric vehicles, clean energy, and sustainable transportation policies.
• Build relationships with government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups to promote Zypp Electric’s policy priorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess the impact of proposed policies and regulations on business operations and develop proactive responses.
• Lead efforts to obtain grants, incentives, and funding opportunities that support Zypp Electric’s sustainability initiatives.
• Drive sustainability initiatives across the organization, including setting goals, tracking performance metrics, and reporting on progress.
• Conduct research and analysis on market trends, technology advancements, and best practices in sustainable transportation.
• Represent Zypp Electric at conferences, workshops, and industry events to promote our sustainability efforts and policy positions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy, Public Policy, Sustainability, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in policy advocacy, government relations, or sustainability roles within the electric vehicle or clean energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory processes and environmental policies affecting the transportation sector.
• Proven track record of successfully advocating for policy changes and securing support for sustainability initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
