Job Title: Senior Netezza Administrator

Location: Chennai / Noida, India

Job Description:
Experience on snowflake concepts like setting up resource monitor, Virtual Warehouse sizing, Query performance tuning, Zero Copy Clone and Timetravel.
Experience in snowflake features like Data Sharing between Provider and Consumer.
Hands-on Experience on Snowflake Utilities like Snowpipe, SnowSQL and Big data model techniques like Python.
Experience on migrating data from RDBMS systems to Snowflake.
Experience on Data Security and Data Access Control list.
Provide resolution to an extensive range of complicated data pipelines related problems.
Able to load and unload data from S3 to Snowflake.
Experience on identifying long running queries and provide solution.
Ability to backup and restore data using Time Travel.
Must have experience on creating and managing different database objects like Virtual warehouses, Database, Schemas, users, and roles.
Work Experience on creating Internal and External stages and deal with secure views.
Should be able to create shares and secure objects to control Data Access. (1.) To independently resolve tickets and ensure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team. (2.) To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management (3.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, training freshers, coaching analysts and conducting interviews or participation in hiring drives. (4.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases (6.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.

Responsibilities:
Adhering to SLAs
Mentoring / Training Team Members
Handling tickets / requests
Perform root cause analysis.
Troubleshooting technical issues
Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration.
Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA.
Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment.
Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24×7 operation support
Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level.
Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time.
Assist in effort estimating, forecasting, and work planning for resources.
To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
To provide support for on call escalations and doing incident & problem management
Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training fresher, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
Familiarity and capability of learning new database technology across tower is an add-on.
DMA point of contact for database requirements.
DMA should possess a sound understanding of the business.

Technical Requirements:
Evaluate the Database Server Hardware
Define/Recommend/Maintain Database Standards and Architecture
Recommend Server H/W, Netezza Server Editions for a new Build.
Research and Recommend Patch management for database/instance and Impact Analysis
Initiate need and Impact Analysis for Database Migration/Upgrade
Technical Consultation
Monitor and optimize Netezza database performance and capacity planning.
Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability.
Create and maintain Netezza databases required for development, testing, Integration, QA and production.
Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
The DMA should work closely with Server, Backup and storage administrator to meet Backup, Hardware
Perform ongoing analysis and tuning of the Netezza database.
Install new versions of the Netezza database and its features and any other tools that access the Netezza.
Application code promotion and migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and cycle if applicable
Hands on experience with Netezza Cluster on Linux.
Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes, data and menus through the various
Experience of cluster configuration and OS level and database level
Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, replication and database related Tools.
Good knowledge of physical database design and responsible for the physical database design
Ability to perform database and operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments.
Excellent skill in High availability, replication technologies and fail over.
Netezza server configuration experience required.
Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies
Provides technical support to application development teams.
Having experience of DR Solution/Implementation/Execution through various sync methods
Designing strategy towards Capacity Management for DB tracks
Designing Netezza Server Security (Server hardening, Auditing, compliance)
Good knowledge of the windows and Unix operating system(s)
Netezza server HW experience C48

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
Good documentation skills
Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio)
Should have a great customer handling skill.
Able to handle unforeseen situations.
