Job Description for Social Media Manager
Social media is the face of every brand.
It not only replicates the vision of the brand but also its voice, personality, and its entire purpose.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager AKA Content Creator, with 2-3 Years of experience, and a strong content creation background who understands the sector we are working in.
The ideal candidate is a team player who will play a critical role in creating original digital content across various social media platforms and understands different content formats of social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Snapchat.
Responsibilities: –
– Encourage product adoption via social media marketing.
– Uses social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand presence.
– Write posts that are accurate, clear, concise, and engaging.
– Write in multiple voices, from newsy to light and humorous to informative in order to tailor content according to both message and medium.
– Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
– Maintain + develop a keen understanding of the industry, its history, and the current news, and benchmark against top-performing social media creators in the healthcare sector.
– Work across the organization with marketing managers, editors, designers, and video editors to create captivating social media posts, content, and campaigns across multiple platforms.
– Have proficiency in Twitter and Instagram community building.
– In-depth knowledge of a variety of social media platforms, particularly Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and TikTok.
– Has the skills of organizing tasks to meet deadlines in order to meet marketing and business goals.
– Comfort quickly switching gears and focus, moving from social media posting to content creation to campaign building throughout the day.
Requirements: –
– Willingness to create quality content, because that’s the only thing that truly matters.
– 2-3 years of experience in creating social media copy and content.
– 2-3 years experience in overseeing social media staff and implementing digital campaigns.
– Core Competencies:
– Excellent written communication skills and superb English skills.
– Great editing skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent organization and time management skills.
– Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications: –
– Proficiency in multiple social media platforms as mentioned above.
– Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
– 2-3 years of using basic designing tools such as Canva.
