Cargill Hiring for Risk Management and Sourcing Manager at Bengaluru, India Full Time

Job Purpose and Impact

The Risk Management and Sourcing Manager will lead and direct complex and multi-dimensional merchandising work for our Animal Nutrition and Health Business in India. In this role, you will drive the coordination of a supplier base and fulfill transactions, delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing, volume, quantity and cost. You will develop a team that buys and sells commodities from and to country elevators, producers, feed mills and processors.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct communication and interaction with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, formulation, customer managers and credit managers to ensure efficient execution

• Lead a team of merchants to develop the short- or long-term strategies for one commodity or market

• Oversee and review team’s risk positions to determine if low, medium or high risk

• Build on Micro ingredient sourcing and MIS capabilities, to negotiate with Third party manufacturers

• Work on various short or long term cost efficiency projects in connection with operation and quality assurance

• Develop Local market information System to create competitive edge to business with help of Competitive Intelligence team

• Lead the new and alternative ingredients with help of formulation and Merchandizing team

• Build synergy with other Cargill Business unit wherever feasible

• Provide direction and oversight to ensure customer and supplier strategies are developed and executed properly

• Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of six years of related work experience

• Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of supervisory experience
