Carnegie India is seeking a language translator (English to Hindi) with a background in Hindi Literature. The translator will provide overall support to Carnegie India’s communications team. This is a full-time position based in Delhi.

The language translator will be responsible for translating Carnegie India’s scholarly output into Hindi; translating Carnegie India’s social media collaterals into Hindi managing editorial workflows for Hindi content; assisting in identifying opportunities for Carnegie India scholars to write for Hindi publications and news organizations; and providing overall assistance to the communications team in organizing Carnegie India’s flagship event, the Global Technology Summit.

The chosen candidate will have at least 2-4 years of relevant English-to-Hindi translation experience. Excellent verbal and written command of both Hindi and English are required. The ideal candidate will also have high proficiency in editing and proofreading. Excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and the ability to work proactively and flexibly within a team are all essential attributes.
