Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of manual testers and report back to the QA Manager
• Working as part of an Agile development team, using black box testing techniques to perform manual tests of a UI application alongside feature development
• Help direct junior members of qa team in your designated team and report back to QA Manager
• Monitor and report progress whilst providing test metrics to the team (Technical & Non-Technical)
• Developing and maintaining a manual QA test suite
• Carry out exploratory testing and test scenarios to uncover unusual issues.
• Plan, define and execute testing of all projects.
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established processes, practices, procedures and quality standards
• Manage defects found and work with stakeholders to analyse, prioritise and resolve them
• Identify and inform the team of any impediments or risks to product quality or project delivery

Essentials

• Strong testing experience
• Manual testing experience of Web Applications
• Experience leading a team of QA Engineers
• Effective communication skills with both business and technical audiences
• Experience in test design and implementation, including planning, executing and validating tests across and able to create test plans from scratch using black box testing techniques
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as test driven development, and testing in an Agile environment
• Be well versed in software engineering tools and best practices
• A passion for technology, analytical and logical thinking with natural curiosity
