As a Lead Network Administrator, you will be supporting a customer with the administration and operations of their network infrastructure. You would be responsible for implementing, managing, and troubleshooting networks and systems according to company’s needs and goals. This position would be responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems, monitoring computer and network systems to improve performance, making sure all users know how to use the networks and systems properly and ensuring all system users have

authorized access. Maintaining system security, making sure websites function, upgrading network and

computer systems and fixing network, hardware, software, and systems problems are all duties for a Network Administrator.

How You Will Make An Impact

Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware

Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues

Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected

Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks

Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users

Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems

What You Will Need to Succeed

10+ years of related work experience as a Network Administration

Supervisory experience of a 3 to 4 Network Administrators.

Network certification in disciplines such as Cisco CCNA, PCNSA, CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft certifications in Windows Server and Windows Client.

Good understanding of Layer 2 & Layer3 network installations. troubleshooting and implementation are critical.

Good understanding of at least 2 dynamic routing protocols installations, troubleshooting and implementation

are critical.

Knowledge on OSPF EIGRP, BGP etc.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and functionality, IP addressing.

Need to have structured and methodological approach for network troubleshooting backed by solid analysis.

and reasoning, clarity in terms of how certain technologies and services are working.

Need to have clarity on wan link troubleshooting mechanisms (link flap/ link down issues)

Good understanding of TCP VS UDP.

Knowledge of TCP fundamentals, routing protocols, difference between Router/Firewall, troubleshooting

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, systems engineering or network administration.

Knowledgeable in networking and security technologies like Palo Alto, Routing, switching, Wireless. F5 and SDWAN

Knowledge of networking services, common networking protocols, and hardware

Knowledge of:
Linux

Windows

Switch Configuration

Net Gear

Open VPN

PF Firewall

Network

Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware

Ability to problem solve and think critically
