Job Description
Qualification:
Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Accountable for providing functional expertise in Automobile and Heavy machinery like trucks, excavators, and loaders crop harvesting drivetrain domain.
Expected to validate equipment hierarchy setup and bill of materials for maintenance and suggest improvements as per site requirement or working conditions.
Understand the client’s objectives, and business drivers and devise an approach to the solution. Ability to commit to team goals and deadlines.
Must be a self-starter and work efficiently without being micro-managed. The candidate must be able to learn technical content quickly and be thorough in their engineering contributions by completing all staff work. Prior knowledge and engineering experience of gears, shafts, bearings, housings, brakes, hydraulic valves, mechatronics, software, or oil systems will allow this candidate an advantage over others.
Mandatory skills:
A minimum of 8 years of experience with automotive OEM or equivalent in design and development of Drive train design, functional requirements, development, and testing knowledge.
Layout and Packaging of Transmission in Vehicle.
Design and development of Gear Train parts for the adapting motor/engine system.
Development of proto parts tooled-up parts by concurrent engineering with suppliers.
Countermeasure to failures of driveline parts in testing.
Ensuring rules and compliances for all Drivetrain Designs.
Undertake the CNC machining manufacturing Specialty.
Ability to work on an analysis of market problems/NVH assembly issues about transmission system (pump, gear train, Belt Drive, Clutch system, and differential) FEA analysis of the product design.
Experienced in assembling, and designing automobile and heavy machinery equipment especially trucks, loaders, and excavators.
Understanding maintenance in line with requirements from the production department, Inventory monitoring, Spares planning, and Safety. Monitoring of equipment performance and suggesting cost-effective maintenance practices to improve availability.
Knowledge in PDM/Teamcenter/ Windchill.
Good proficiency in Catia/NX/CREO tool.
Good knowledge of Castings, Plastics, and sheet metal is a must.
Basic knowledge of MS office tools – PowerPoint & Excel.
Effective communicator and ability to make decisions individually.
Skills & Experience
Automotive – Engine, Creo, Drivetrain/Torque Converter/Transmission experience
