Job Summary

Digital Green has been working with multiple partners in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Senior-level video producer (video production) needs to work closely with the Communication and ICT Departments, RySS, and all other stakeholders to facilitate the video content creation for various partnerships as per their extension needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day coordination and close work with the Communication and ICT Departments/RySS

• Coordination and follow-up with the Central team for the smooth functioning of the program.

• Establishing the Zonal video hubs in coordination with the RySS

• Identifying the Video Resource person professionals/VRPs and selecting and placing of VRPs at their respective zonal to further produce the required content and videos in coordination with the RySS.

• Training of Video Resource Persons on video production

• Building the capacity of  Video Resource Persons as agents to create Natural Farming and allied themes for content generation on both online and offline platforms.

• Regular monitoring and coordination support in ensuring that VRP can timely fulfill the content requirements as per the content development plan

• Coordinate with service vendors for making films and to dub the videos  into Hindi and English for national and global audiences.

• Develop crop-specific effective audio advisories to share the practices with farmers in time by using the IVR platform.

• Identify the potential agro ecological zones where the learnings and majority of the PoP practices are targeted to develop content and videos through production hubs.

• Develop thematic as well as generic content for the videos as per the planned calendar with the validated content.

• Package of practice- Developing crop-specific videos in Telugu and dubbing the videos further in Hindi and English as per the RySS requirements.

• Generic content development – Principles of Natural farming, Climate, Health and Nutrition, Digital literacy, Gender etc.

• .Laisening with professional filmmakers and media houses to meet the requirement of DG-RySS

•   Ensure the quality of the video produced for the training.

• Coordinating with partner organizations, Subject Matter Expert and stakeholders in developing the content

• Develop a generic knowledge-sharing plan.

• Ensure quality assurance and do feedback assessments to ensure the quality of the videos produced.

• Identifying desired enthusiastic youth from the farming community and appointing additional VRPs as per the requirements in hubs.

• Facilitate video production equipment procurements for RySS-DG projects

• Develop systematic training modules developing to train the professionals in video production hubs on scripting, video shooting, and editing as and when required.

• Developing a series of training modules for a 6 members team in video production hubs to further build them as independent experts to cater to the future needs of RySS.

• Training of Trainer (ToT) of Zonal Level Master Video producers who will be responsible for the management of the Video Production across their zones.

• Training the enthusiastic young farmers, Youtubers, and other lead farmers in the span of 2 years through established Master Video Producers at the zone level.

• Plan and facilitate community video production training along with the Program Staff for multiple partners of Digital Green.

• Plan, design and shoot high-quality videos for crop-specific/ any other identified topics.

• Provide regular and necessary hand-holding support to community video producers on a continuous basis to improve the video quality.

• Needs to work closely with the District Program Officials of Partner organizations in developing an action plan for video production activities across the hubs and make sure that all processes related to video production are in place.

• Coordinate with the State Team of Partner organizations to schedule video shoots, zonal video reviews and planning meetings.

• Design, plan and lead video production tasks for Digital Green’s internal training requirements.

• Update video-related information on Digital Green’s and Partner Organisation MIS on a regular basis.

• Needs to closely work with Regional Manager/Senior Program Managers for video and audio content creation for Digital Green on-field innovations.

• Managing video production-related processes with multiple Partners

• Contributing to the documentation of the Digital Green extension approach in various media.

• To participate in all the video reviews and plan meetings.

• To coordinate, follow up and monitor with all the regional hub Video Resource Persons (VRP)s and regional hub coordinators.

• In coordination with RySS state team identification of topics and content approvals, take necessary approvals including logistics for smooth video production.

• To participate in DPMs monthly review and plan meetings at the state level.

• Tracking approved videos and sharing with RySS central team and ensuring to reach all the approved videos to the districts for video dissemination.

• Any work assigned by DG and RySS.

  Qualifications & Skills 

• 1.  Candidates must have a first-class post-graduation degree in Communication/Media Studies/Mass Communication.

• 1. Candidates must have a minimum seven years of experience in the social development sector preferably in community video production, training, and in making developmental films.
• 1. Candidates must have hands-on experience with DSLR/professional video cameras and on various video editing and photo-editing software. Familiarity with graphics-related works is an added advantage.
• 1. Candidates should be able to travel 15-20 days in a month.
• 1. Candidates must have 3 different types of show-reels/ videos which have been independently produced and directed by them.
• 1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Telugu & English.
