Full Job Description
Position : Server Administrator
RESPONSIBILITIES :Administration of Prod/QA/Dev virtualized server environmentAssist in administration of Active DirectoryAdministration of code repository toolsWork with internal teams to gain requirements, procure and install server hardware.Manage inventory of systemsImplement Monitoring tool for all systems and proactively conduct capacity planning.Manage vendors and contracts.On-prem data center operations managementComply with Company policies, procedures and management standards, and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.Implement configuration management system(s) to facilitate the management of multiple systems simultaneously.Proactively engage with internal teams to gather requirements, provide expertise and identify innovative solutions to improve systems and process.Create and maintain security policies and create reports for internal and external audits.REQUIREMENTS :Experience in implementing and supporting a virtual Environment (vmware , Hyper-V and Nutanix ).Experience in VSAN and VVOLHands on experience in GIT and SVN code repository tool ( Integration with different applications)Must be self motivated, hard working and a team player.Experience in implementing and supporting a Linux Environment. ( Cluster ,RAID levels)Advanced Operating Systems knowledge in Various Linux flavour ( Ubuntu ,REDHAT and Debian)Basic scripting skills in bash, Python, PowerShell.Advanced server hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills6-9 yrs in Implementation of a stable IT infrastructure assisting operations before and after implementation.Assist ensuring an adequate level of security and update, setting up and maintaining operating system and software.Basic Networking knowledge and ability ( Switching and Routing )Advanced troubleshooting skills to provide Level 2 Support to Helpdesk engineersExperience with hardware, application and operating system monitoring systems.Experience with server room rack layout and cablingKnowledge of security best practices and industry standards.NICE TO HAVE :Experience with private cloud solutions such as Cloudstack or OpenstackKnowledge of a configuration management platform such as Puppet, Chef or AnsibleExperience with Infrastructure as a Service providers.Experience on AWS
