What you will do This role is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to internal & external stakeholders. A BSA will be able to recommend changes to existing metrics reporting structure, identify impacted functions, assist with ticket queue measurement and reporting and work with the technical team to review & implement changes. Essential Functions

• Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• Primary function will be to assist in the design and rollout of enterprise reports, dashboards, metrics and KPIs in support of Epsilon’s network engineering, storage, backup and virtual compute practices.
• May provide consultation to users in the area of reporting systems, metrics and dashboards
• May coordinate with cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Improves systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
• Recommends controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
• Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
• Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• College or University degree required
• Requires 3-5 years of previous professional experience
• Able to assess a situation, receive input from stakeholders, and select a course of action.
• Able to clearly communicate and articulate, both written and verbally, detailed specifications, and technical writing expertise is preferred
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices
• Working knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint.
• Must be able to export data and run reports from the following or similar platforms: ServiceNow, ITSM and Sumologic.
• Some familiarity with the following tool suites is preferred: OpsRamp, Dell Protection Advisor, Veritas Ops Center, VMware Virtual Center, HP Insight Suite and other enterprise management tools
• Understanding & designing dashboards and utilizing macros, pivot tables, report and charts in Excel.
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, preferably PowerBI. Expert knowledge of PowerBI preferred.
• Able to develop and maintain relationships within the organization and understand the business needs.
• Able to document information effectively through databases, knowledge warehouses, and other shared space.
• Able to understand and support well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business and project teams.
• Able to review, understand and update existing specifications.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced and often changing environment.
• As needed, able to serve as a liaison between administrators and users within IT.
• Basic knowledge of the IT Infrastructure, particularly large-scale networking, storage and backup systems preferred
• Good problem-solving skills in order to keep project timelines on track
• May need to demonstrate a strong technical awareness and understand both business and technical languages and ideas.
• Strong drive and initiative, sense of personal accountability.
• With guidance, able to analyze and evaluate data and be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business and project
