Group Practice Leads are Product Engineering team members aligned to Practices and are accountable for adopting the Best Practices

• Define, Publish, and Promote Standards, Principles, Best Practices, Frameworks and Tooling
  • Coaching to Mastery driving adoption of best-in-class techniques, technology, and tools
  • Drive consistency across Teams in Group
  • Promote multiple lines of defence to secure product engineering excellence
• Drive continuous improvement
  • Recommend cost effective ways to design and implement our products
  • Identify opportunities for re-use between Teams in Group
  • Monitor and drive progress on technical debt
• Provide expertise in key domains to scale our knowledge
  • Serve as authority understanding implications and risks
  • Define and pursue a strategic vision within the scope of each Practice
  • Be Thought Leaders and ambassadors of Experian (e.g., conferences, papers, industry forums)
• Grow and nurture our talent
  • Define training curriculum and career paths
  • Support recruitment and professional development
  • Lead and actively participate in GSG Communities

Members of each Practice come together regularly through forums such as staff meetings, mailing lists, discussion channels These meetings should lead the Practice to

• Determine a strategic vision of what we want to achieve across the entire suite
• Establish and propagate standards
• Review solutions and approaches
• Share what each are doing in their area/team
• Identify and avoid duplication of effort and drive reuse
• Align on common components, dependencies, interfaces, technology, practices and tools
• Coordinate on suite wide technology research and adoption
• Capture, document, prioritize technical debt pertaining to the practice area
• Share knowledge and experience

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of relevant computing platforms and automated test tools.
• Able to quickly gain good knowledge on the usage of multiple Experian software applications, including business use.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies, including automation and performance testing and other specialist areas.
• Knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodology
• Strong technical experience in software development; with good process/project knowledge
• Work experience in MNC environments, and having managed/worked with remote teams and cross functional teams
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with proactive desire to unblock issues that restrict progress.
• Good time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proactive in providing the business with information it needs to act on.
• Excellent influencing skills
• Excellent organization skills and able to observe basic project management principles especially change management and impact assessment
• Good stakeholder management skills
