Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for delivering innovations to the market for personal & home care and should be able to run independently 5-7 project at any time point

Roles and responsibilities:

• Delivering new product development initiatives; with end to end responsibility from ideating on a new product concept to formulating prototypes to launch
• Understanding consumer- primary & secondary research to get into the mindset of parents to identify gaps in the market
• Benchmarking competitor products
• Closely monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends & competitive activity for the company
• Plan the key elements of each product category: name, purpose, variants, star ingredients, size, price, cost & packaging
• Managing product portfolio & relationship with over manufacturers, suppliers and laboratories
• Creating product briefs basis consumer requirement and brand positioning
• Evaluating the samples, collating feedback and sharing it with vendor to get a desired product
• Identifying packaging options for NPD.
• Negotiation on cost and order quantities with product & packaging manufacturers
• Creating packaging brief for design team, work with content & brand team to finalize a structure for artwork
• Coordinating with testing labs to get desired certifications and claims verified
• Coordinates with all important interfaces (marketing, procurement, legal and project leaders) in executing the project and delivering the formulation with excellence and scheduled timing
• Meet new product cost targets, improve existing products gross margin
• Well versed with Factory audits and product QC
• He/She need to be self-starter for ongoing improvement of existing products on parameters that matters to consumer (benefits, cost, sensory)
