Short department description
You will be leader of 4 odd team members of Purchase department who expedite the deliverables at supplier’s end to meet on time delivery of items from our suppliers.
Your responsibilities
- Plan and schedule training to supplier on their weaker front
- Make follow up plan for team to different supplier
- Ensure 100% material availability for next month assy. plan.
- Resolve any drawing related issue to supplier end.
- Develop a high performing team through training, coaching, motivation etc.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets with utmost focus on Safety
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance, devise and implement improvement plan
- Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders for commercial correctness.
What you bring
- A Graduate /Diploma Engineer – Mechanical.
- Around 10 years of Industry experience for Graduate Engineers and 15 years exp. for Diploma Engineers with sound technical knowledge of fabrication and machining part.
- Ability to read fabrication and Machining drawing.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and credibility both internally and with external clients with strong customer service skills
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Very good analytical and problem solving skills
- Very good leadership skills with demonstrated track record of building high performing team
- Highly cost sensitive with demonstrated ability to reduce cost
- Experience in working ISO 9001, OHSAS / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 environment
