About the Role

The GapTech Strategy & Agile Transformation team is focused on evolving engineering from a project to product operating model. As a Senior Agile Coach, you will be part of the team responsible for standing up our Agile Center of Excellence and develop self-organizing and highly accountable Lean, Agile and DevOps teams, with high delivery performance.

As a Senior Manager Agile Coach, you will have experience in organizational transformation, implementing metrics, and monitoring delivery and results. You will also create and implement trainings to ensure our product teams are delivering maximum customer value. This role requires the ability to influence, teach and train at the VP and team Level for Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Program Management, in addition to managing a team of Agile Process Coaches within your assigned Product area.

What You’ll Do

• 8+ years technology experience with 3+ years as a hands-on Enterprise Coach, or equivalent experience required. Must have management experience with proven ability to grow and lead a distributed team across multiple geographies, time zones and cultures. Experience working in a Product Team Model and DevOps organization required • Must have both technical and financial acumen to facilitate business-oriented results and experience and proven ability to collaborate and align teams across a matrix-based organization based on influence• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and software development life cycle• Experience working within a product model with Lean Agile and DevOps framework• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, LESS Huge, and/or SAFe• Experiencing implementing and using performance metrics (such as Dora and Flow)• Experience with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)• Exemplifies Lean, Agile and DevOps principles and manifesto • Experience in establishing and defining appropriate standards and processes with cross-functional teams • Must be self-motivated, organized, self-confident and self-directing with a proven ability to identify priorities and mobilize initiatives in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results; effective and efficient in facilitating solutions to complex, time-critical challenges and willing to take on new responsibilities as our transformation journey evolves • Excellent situational awareness and an ability to remain calm under pressure and be cognizant of how you are perceived • Experience in proactive improvement of software development processes and practices to optimize value delivery• Must have experience with Jira, Confluence and Power BI and ideally with Jira Align

Who You Are

• Stand up and co-lead the Agile Center of Excellence through collaboration with the Agile Transformation team, including the building out of tools, resources, and metrics to demonstrate progress of our organizational transformation• Complete Agile assessments and create strategic plans with senior engineering leaders to drive actionable performance improvements through trainings and coaching• Lead a team of coaches assigned within your product area to ensure they are removing roadblocks, providing coaching, and holding their teams accountable to increasing delivery performance• Ensures that the organization is developing cohesive teams operating off a maintained 90-day backlog• Identify systemic constraints and impediments that are impacting flow and creating friction for product teams and partner across product lines and functions to define solutions and process improvements• Teaches Product, Engineering, TPM and UX team members new ways of working such as Quarterly Planning to ensure successful execution; providing coaching and training as needed• As a people manager, be responsible for the performance and growth of your team through OKRs and developmental plans while also being accountable to achieving your own OKRs and actively working a developmental plan• Holds engineering leaders accountable for their product teams delivery performance
