POSITION STATEMENT

The HousekeepingGuest Service Attendantis responsible for maintaining room cleanliness according to Hilton Brand standards and by providing all required services to the guests.

POSITION SUMMARY

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Fill and tidy cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area.
• Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
• Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms, such as toiletries, glasses, mugs, linens, towels, tissues, coffee, collaterals and laundry bags according to standards.
• Replace dirty linens (e.g., sheets, pillowcases) and terry (e.g., towels, bathrobes) with clean items following correct bed making and folding according to standards.
• Clean bathrooms, including bathtub/hot tub/shower, toilet, floor, sink, and mirror according to standards.
• Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items from room and balcony/patio.
• Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order (e.g., hair dryer, television and remote, etc.).
• Report to HK Coordinator for any room defects accordingly.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances and restore to original positions.
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings (e.g., appliances, furniture, ice bucket, minibar counter, baseboards, ledges, entrance door) by using the color-coded cleaning cloth.
• Vacuum carpets and performs floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).
• Report room status (e.g., Do Not Disturb notice on room, discrepant rooms) to Housekeeping Coordinator or Team Leader.
• Report immediately to HK Coordinator or Executive for any losses and breakages in the room.
• Reports immediately to HK Coordinator or Executive for any pest issues in the room.
• Check and report any lost and found in the room accordingly.
• Prioritize room cleaning based on the urgency of the rooms and update the room status accordingly.
• Ensure trolleys, vacuums and pantry are well maintained according to Hotel standards.
• Perform monthly inventory for guest supplies and cleaning supplies.
• Ensure all FCS requests are being attended to immediately to avoid any guest inconvenience.
• Ensure that Hilton Brand Service Standards are followed at all times.
• Ensure all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety and security are followed at all times.
• Set an example for a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene
• Ensure strict punctuality and ensure you are wearing the correct uniform and maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
• Exercise appropriate behavior at all times and positively represent the Hilton Team.
• Ensure all in-house rules and regulations communicated by the Housekeeping Executive are followed at all times.
• Full adherence to the company’s policy on Harassment and Violence-Free Workplace
• Ensure a strong professional relationship with all levels of Team Members within the hotel, taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
• Respectful of the time of the organization as well as that of other Team Members. Puts a high value in promptness for any related work attendance matters, be it training, meetings or daily work.
• To show creativity and be more innovative for the contribution to the success of the operation.
• Assist in making sure that the hotel is adhering to all Company/Hotel Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
• Assist in making sure that government-stipulated employee legislation is strictly followed and implemented.
• Keep oneself informed and updated of the Hotel’s financial goals
• Ensure new technology and equipment are embraced, improving productivity while taking work out of the system.
• Complies with hotel’s rules and regulations including but not limited to Hilton’s company-wide policies.
• Sets an example on attendance and punctuality including high standard of personal grooming and hygiene.
• Exercises responsible management and behavior at all times, positively representing the hotel as Hilton Ambassadors.
• Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
• Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Performs other duties subject to management’s review and revision of this job description during employment period.

• Graduate from high school and skill training school with good basic command of English (written and spoken) to meet business needs.
• 1-2 years of experience in similar capacity with international chain hotels.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Housekeeping department.
• Good knowledge of Service Support guest floors’ daily operation.
• Flexible with working hours, able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Good knowledge in chemicals used for cleaning rooms.
