The Enterprise Business Planning program is transforming how HP does enterprise-wide planning and forecasting, from WW LTP to weekly account planning in countries. This effort is multi-dimensional in nature, including (1) elements of organizational design, (2) process redesign, (3) applying sophisticated technology and application tools, and (4) leading advanced change management techniques to deliver the full value of large-scale transformation. The EBP Anaplan Lead Developer provides thought leadership working collaboratively with different HP functions to ensure best in class implementation of planning processes in Anaplan:

• Oversee Anaplan design and fit to requirements
• Guide development team members on configuration
• Advise data integration team members on pre-requisites and dependencies
• Confirm user stories from business / confirmed defects
• Validate supporting business processes align to design/build, and oversee unit tests of configurations
• Point of contact for questions and feedback from testers and oversee defect resolution for Anaplan related issues
• Define and ensure best practices and standards are implemented to ensure scalability and performance
• Coordinate with Release Manager and EBP Program Lead around environment management and configuration migrations
• Coordinate with End User Support around issue resolution progress or impediment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads organization wide team of other Anaplan data engineers for all stages of design and development for complex, secure and performant data solutions and models, including design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration of structured/unstructured data.
• Understands business management processes and drives design of digital solutions
• Evaluates various options and choice points during the project implementation to enable strategic alignment with program objectives.
• Consults project teams on E2E architecture in Anaplan
• Deep understanding of the solution requirement and guidance to development, data integration, testing and CX teams.
• Acts as liaison between program leadership, cross-functions, IT and core program team
• Preparation of user acceptance testing ( set up test environment, loading test data, etc)
• Development and coordination of rollout activities
• Reports frequently on projects evolution, overcomes roadblocks or proposes alternatives; seeks for guidance and forces decision making as needed
• Assures designs and project activities are in compliance with data policies, architecture, security and quality guidelines and standards.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into organization wide projects and activities in the big data space.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically 10+ years’ experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
• Developed knowledge and understanding of Business Planning solutions and concepts
• Deep understanding of Anaplan architecture
• Expert level development experience with Anaplan
• Business acumen and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good project management skills
• Extensive experience designing data systems/solutions to manage complex data in complex, distributed and massively parallel systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels, BU and executive levels

Additional skills that will be considered a plus:

• Experience in demand / supply planning with SAP IBP
• Knowledge of HPs selling motions and business models
• Business Intelligence background ( PowerBI, Thoughtspot, Tableau, databases)
• Experience with agile project management concepts (SCRUM)
